Cumberland Council and Mott MacDonald are working together to develop a masterplan for Carlisle. Whether you’re a resident, business owner, student, or visitor, your involvement and feedback is really important to us.

We would like to hear your views on the proposed masterplan interventions for Carlisle. These proposals aim to improve the city centre whilst supporting economic growth and community life city wide.

We are holding a five week period of public consultation on the Carlisle Masterplan between the 29th June to the 31st July 2026.

Paper copies of the Masterplan will be available to view at the Carlisle Library during normal opening hours.
