Statement of Community Involvement

Following the formation of Cumberland Council a draft Statement of Community Involvement has been prepared for the Council area outside the Lake District National Park. The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how the Council will involve the local community, organisations and stakeholders with land use planning matters such as planning applications, planning enforcement, and planning policy including the local plan. 

Any comments on any part of the draft SCI are welcome. After the consultation has ended we will review all responses and update the SCI as appropriate before submitting a report to the Council Executive for formal adoption. 

Please return any comments by 5pm on Friday 25th October 2024. Responses received after this date will not be accepted.
