Brampton Library survey

Cumberland Council would like your views on the future of library services for Brampton. 

We want to understand what residents, library users, non-users and local stakeholders think about the options for library provision in the area. Whether you use the library regularly, occasionally, online only, or not at all, your feedback is important. 

The Libraries Fit for the Future Programme is informed by the Public Library Service Strategic Needs Assessment(External link) published in 2025. This assessment provides evidence about current services, local needs and opportunities for improvement. 

Brampton Library has been identified for further review. We are asking for your feedback on the following options: 

• Option 1: retain Brampton Library in its current building

• Option 2: co-locate library services within a community centre or shared public building

• Option 3: co-locate library services within the Moot Hall

Your feedback will help inform future library strategy and planning. No decision has been made, and there is no preferred option at this stage.
