Homecare Services in Cumberland – Request for Views
Overview
Cumberland Council is in the process of recommissioning its homecare service. Homecare services are provided to people to assist them in maintaining their independence. People may receive care within their own home or as a way of supporting them to access the community.
Support can include (but is not limited to):
- Personal care, such as support with washing or getting in or out of bed
- Help around the house, such as support with preparing a meal
- Health-related tasks, such as support with administering medications or applying prescribed creams
Why your views matter
The Council will use the results of this consultation to help us shape the specification for new homecare services and to make sure it meets the needs of residents.
We would like the views of all Cumberland residents, regardless of whether you receive homecare or not. We want to know what is important to you or for your relatives when thinking about homecare. Let us know what is working well now and what could be improved and how you would want your care needs to be met in the future.
