School Based Nursery Capital Grant

The total funding available is £15million and can support up to 300 schools and will be allocated in Spring 2025.

These nurseries can be school-run or delivered by private and voluntary providers or childminders on the school’s site. They can also cater for any early years age group, providing there is local demand.

To apply, or where schools are interested in opening a nursery but are not able to apply for the SBN Capital Grant 2024 to 2025, you can register your interest using the online application service.

You must submit your application to the Department for Education, including all supporting documents, via the online application service by midday on 19 December 2024.
